Help for displaced communities

Displaced community members in Vanuatu are receiving essential resources as restoration efforts continue after Tropical Cyclone (TC) Lola.

Six-hundred kitchen kits and shelter tools have been provided by the Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) Vanuatu in partnership with the International Organisation for Migration (IOM), delivering much-needed support to internally displaced and vulnerable households.

This partnership with the IOM has enabled ADRA to meet the needs of the people in communities throughout Vanuatu.

Communities in Southwest Malekula, South Malekula, Southeast Malekula, Central Malekula, West Ambrym and North Ambrym Area Councils were impacted by the category 5 cyclone in October last year and are still recovering.

The IOM, as part of the United Nations, is the foremost intergovernmental organisation in migration, upholding the belief that humane and well-managed migration is advantageous for both migrants and society.
