Rolling up their sleeves to help others

Forty-nine youth donated blood.
Seventh-day Adventist youth from the Wewak Island District, East Sepik Province, Papua New Guinea, recdently organised a successful blood donation drive at Boram General Hospital in Wewak.
The initiative was led by the West Coast Wewak Island District Adventist youth, with participation from five local churches—Meni, Niugo, Tangara, Gander and Wom—along with youth from Yawasoro, Passam and Rainumbo.
Facilitated by a team from Boram General Hospital’s blood bank, the drive encouraged 49 participants. Following the event, the blood bank team have requested another donation drive to be held on June 14 for World Blood Donor Day.
Plans are already in place for the district to facilitate the next event and continue supporting the hospital’s blood supply.
