Sharing messages of hope
Adventist young people in Kiribati recently took part in serving their community, using music and small acts of service to share messages of hope and kindness.
The group set up a Bluetooth speaker at a local bus stop, where they sang gospel songs to passing vehicles and pedestrians while distributing free sandwiches to members of the public.
According to Tearaoi Tekarimwi, from the Bikenibeu Seventh-day Adventist Church , the group happily braved the hot and dry weather to connect with the community. “We just want to come out and meet people and share Jesus through songs and small acts of kindness,” he said.
In another location, a group visited Tungaru Central Hospital, where they sang in hospital corridors and shared messages of encouragement with patients in various wards.
