Abloom with kindness

Handing out flowers in Blacktown.
On International Women’s Day, Adventist youth gathered at Blacktown train station in Sydney to hand out more than 300 flowers to passers-by. Accompanying each flower was a Bible verse, a message of hope and a blessing.
Meaningful conversations and moments of joy were sparked as many responded with surprise.
“This experience was a powerful reminder that even the simplest act of love can change a person’s day—or even their life,” said church youth leader Pastor Dejan Stojkovic.
One individual later posted on social media, “Today was one of those overwhelming days where everything felt heavy . . . until a kind stranger walked up to me, handed me this [flower] and said, ‘You have a really pretty smile’. Just like that, my day felt lighter. It’s incredible how a small act of kindness can make such a big difference.”
