Helping people and saving the planet!

Cardinia Council representatives, including the Mayor Jack Kowarzik, recently joined with the Adventist Development Relief Agency (ADRA) Victoria director Rebecca Auriant to support the Container Deposit Scheme.

Under the scheme, people can recycle their drink containers, reducing the number of bottles, cans and containers ending up in landfill or on local streets. ADRA is a registered charity under the scheme and funds raised will support the organisation’s vital work in Cardinia and across Victoria, Australia.

In Cardinia Shire, ADRA provides an outreach bus to assist people in need every Thursday evening. The support includes providing fresh produce, groceries, clothing, books, court support, information and referrals.
