Free hair cuts
On Thursday evenings in the Logan shopping centre car park in Queensland, Australia, you’ll find businesses and organisations joining forces to provide food, clothing, medical and laundry services for vulnerable community members.
The program is known as Nightlight, a not-for-profit Christian initiative aimed at making a difference in the community.
Local Adventist barbers are involved, providing free hair cuts and a listening ear to those doing it tough. Community members not only receive a free haircut, but each cut comes with an option for prayer, and many are taking up that option.
