Charity cyclists

Adventists in Melbourne, Australia, have taken part in charity events to help sick children and to support a cancer fundraiser.

In the first event, “Tour de Kids”, they cycled to raise funds for the Starlight Foundation, which aims to bring joy and relief to sick children. The participants, aged 15 to 86, covered more than 5000km, raising $A10,639. This made them the third most successful team in terms of funds raised.

A team of eight also took part in “Walk to Fight Cancer”, an event that collects funds for cancer research at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Foundation. The team walked more than 470km across the 10-day challenge, raising $A2180.

Encouraged by their achievements, they are now planning more community service initiatives in the future.
